Perth Harpist Terry commenced her musical training since she was five. She completed her Grade 8 examinations in piano and music theory at the Royal Schools of Music (UK) in her teenage years. From 2003 onwards she has focused her attention on playing the harp. Over the past few years she has been playing weekly around Perth for various types of functions and events.
Terry’s repertoire comprises mainly contemporary contemplative music suitable for aged care homes, memorial services and hospital settings. She also plays a number of old-time favourites such as “Moon River”, “Scarborough Fair”, “Over the Rainbow”, and “My Heart Will Go On”; classical pieces like the Viennese waltzes and “Pachelbel’s Canon in D”; Celtic tunes including “Danny Boy” and “Skye Boat Song”; as well as music from other countries and cultures, including Latin America, Japan and China.
Terry is available for weddings, cocktail functions, corporate events, special occasions, venue bookings etc.
I have some positive feedback for Terry
She rang to discuss the type of music and repertoire soon after the booking and to find out about parking.
She arrived early after checking that this would be ok. She came early so she could set up and be ready to start at 3pm.
We offered her a break and drinks and food, however she said she just needed a drink of water available and played nonstop throughout the event – with the exception of a break for speeches.
The music was beautiful - not being knowledgeable about music, I just asked for music that was calm but uplifting and she developed a set that was on brief. There were lots of comments from attendees that the music was beautiful; it really added to the ambience of the event.
She was very easy to deal with.
